Deepawali Festivities at the Salt Lake City Public Library
Hi all,
Please join us for a community celebration of Diwali, the Hindu "Festival of Lights" at
the Main (Downtown) City Library on Sunday, the 1st of November from 2 to 4 p.m.
Sponsored by the Salt Lake City Public Library and supported by Sri Ganesha Hindu Temple, India Cultural Center and Shop-N-Go, this event will celebrate one of the oldest and most important festivals in India.
The event will showcase the rich cultural heritage and diversity that is thriving within the Indian community in Utah. There will be traditional dances and light music from various regions of the Indian subcontinent. Kids can have fun with face painting and more.
The event promises to be a great venue and opportunity to celebrate with community members and to share and learn about India, its people, festivals and traditions.
Everyone is welcome and admission is free. The event poster is attached to this e-mail. Please pass this message to everyone who may be interested.
