This month, the Lawyers Guild has a number of great events going on.

**1. Progressive Lawyers and Law Students Meet and Greet, April 3rd,
5-8pm at Coles*
**2. Does Slavery Still Exist?: A discussion on human trafficking,
April 9th, 6pm Room 106 Co-Sponored by Buffalo Human Rights Center*
**3. Lawyer Guild Bar Night April 16th, 9pm Mister Goodbar*
**4. Buffalo Refugees Discussion, Date TBA*

**1. Progressive Lawyer and Law Student Meet and Greet, April 3rd,
5-8pm at Coles*
This Friday, April 3rd from 5-8pm at Cole's Resturant and Bar, 3rd
Floor Banquet Room (1104 Elmwood Ave) the National Lawyers Guild
Student and City chapters of Buffalo will be hosting their 3rd Annual
Meet and Greet. The goal of the event is to unite law students from
UB with progressive lawyers and community leaders of Buffalo. This is
an opportunity to connect with members of the Buffalo progressive
community to build an effect movement for social change.
Complimentary food and drinks will be served. We hope to see you
there!

**2. Does Slavery Still Exist?: A discussion on human trafficking,
April 9th, 6pm Room 106, Co-Sponored by Buffalo Human Rights Center**
Thursday, April 9th at 6pm in room 106, Renan Salgado from Farmworkers
Legal Services in Rochester will be speaking on Agricultural Human
Trafficking and its effect on the farming industry. This is an issue
that is happening locally in Western NY and all across the nation. We
hope to further the awareness of this issue of modern-day slavery and
will discuss possible ways to solve this issue. Food will be
served.

**3. Lawyer Guild Bar Night April 16th, 9pm Mister Goodbar*
We hope you'll join us at the Lawyers Guild bar night. Dancing,
Drinking, and Discussion are sure to happen. Bring your newest dance
moves!

**4. Buffalo Refugees Discussion, Date TBA*
The Lawyers Guild is putting together a discussion event addressing
the Buffalo refugee/asylee population. The event will feature Buffalo
residents who went through the refugee process and local immigration
attorneys. It is tentatively scheduled to occur the beginning of May
and more information will be passed on as the details are finalized.
