WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A POLL WATCHER THIS NOVEMBER?

What: Poll Watching Training
When: Nov. 3rd 11 a.m.
Where: 2123 Bailey Ave.
Why: To protect voters from illegal disenfranchisement.

Come learn the basics of poll watching and put your training to use by
monitoring polling sites in the City of Buffalo for the general
election on November 6th.

The Coalition for Economic Justice and the UB Lawyers Guild will host
a poll watching training on Saturday November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at
2123 Bailey Ave. Trained individuals will then be placed, based on
their time and availability, to monitor polls in low-income
neighborhoods on the East and West Sides of Buffalo on November 6th,
from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.

During the primary election this September in Buffalo, poll watchers
witnessed dozens of first-time and non-native English speaking voters
get illegally turned away from the polls.

Please join the effort to defend voter rights. Bilingual students
(Spanish/English) are especially needed. This is also an excellent
experience to place on your resume.

To register for the training or for more information, please email
ublg...@gmail.com by October 31st, subject line "Poll Watching."

Thanks!
