Hello,

The Coalition for Economic Justice's annual banquet will be held on
May 16th at the Buffalo Convention Center. This is a wonderful event,
where members and supporters of the Coalition come to together to
celebrate and honor the struggle for economic justice in Buffalo and
beyond.

This year the Coalition will be honoring Rev. Jeff Carter for his
dedication to Living Wage movement, Richard Lipsitz Sr. (a long time
member of the Buffalo Guild City Chapter) for his tireless work for
social and economic justice in WNY, and the Buffalo Public School
Transportation Aides and the Food Service Workers fighting for a
Living Wage. The keynote speaker will be Rod Watson of the Buffalo
News. There will also be a brief musical performance by the Mohammad
School of Music.

Tickets are $30, $25 for two or more tickets, or $15 for low-income/
students. The event begins with a social hour at 6 p.m., and the
program begins at 7 p.m. If you would like to reserve a ticket, please
email micael...@gmail.com. There will be a number of UB Guild
members there, so we welcome you to sit at our table!

Thanks, and good luck with finals.

-Anna
