Buffalo's Burmese Community Issues Call to Action THIS SATURDAY

Hello all -


Recent events have exposed yet again the brutality of the dictatorship in Burma.  Buffalo's Burmese community will hold a vigil and call to action THIS SATURDAY at 6:30 PM at the corner of Elmwood and Bidwell.  PUSH, the Western New York Peace Center and the UB Lawyers Guil are co-sponsoring this event with the Burmese Community Association.  Many recent arrivals to Buffalo, and especially the West Side, are longstanding leaders in the Burmese democracy movement and have experienced oppression first-hand.  Please join them on Saturday as part of a worldwide week of action.
