I don’t think there’s a configuration setting to reconfigure that, but if you don’t mind modifying the code and building your own fork of the viewer, it should be possible.

 

The footer panel gets set up here:

You could replace this.shell.$footerPanel with a reference to a different jQuery element to place the panel in a different location.

 

Note that all of the code for building the UV interface is being gradually rewritten as web components to move away from this jQuery approach; I’m optimistic that this will make customizations easier in the future… but for now, this is how the system works.
