This a general overview and a response to Abood,
You are right about setting goals and talking to team members. I am
the coordinator for Turkish and so far translated on my own, I once
sent a message to group members but still no change, but as u said it
will be helpful to invite friends and other volunteers to the project.
Btw it is helpful to create a tutorial o. Transifex and Poedit because
they are not very easy to use.
But I have a suggestion, I was using Poedit too butthen I found
virtaal another similar program, I find it easier to use and suggest u
to try it, it may speed up the process.

Greetings from Turkey

Hello and welcome Hüseyin! Thank you for all the solo translation
effort you've made so far.

I will create another more detailed screenshot tutorial soon so that
anyone unfamiliar with Transifex or POedit (maybe even Virtaal after I
try it) can have an easy time translating and submitting. Localization
is quite difficult at the beginning but once a person gets the hang of
it, it's fairly straightforward.

As for Virtaal, I have downloaded it. I will give it a try and compare
it to POedit and let you know which one is better from a personal
point of view. Thank you for the suggestion!

Note: I would kindly like to request from you and everyone else to
post in the "Main Discussion Area". Kindly re-post (copy and paste)
what you wrote above in the "Main Discussion Area" topic. Once I see
that you have done that, I will delete this topic. I hope my request
does not inconvenience you and remember that all I'm trying to do is
to try and keep things tidy over here :)

One more request to all fellow members: Kindly do not open a new
discussion topic. Simply post a reply in the "Main Discussion Area".
I'd like to keep things neat by having only two topics open which are
"Main Discussion Area" and "Introduce yourself".

Thank you.

Hüseyin, I downloaded and tried Virtaal but personally I preferred
POedit.

Note to Hüseyin and all fellow group members: Please ignore all the
following previous requests that I made as it defeats the purpose of
the functionality of google groups:

That being said, you can reply to the google group as you normally
would from your email and that will result in opening a new topic on
the google group.

Thank you all.

Thank you very much Bassam!

Please see this detailed screenshot tutorial (which I created for all
fellow translators of the Universal Subtitles project) for using
Transifex if you feel that you are not familiar when using the
website.

Detailed new tutorial: http://ninety9names.blogspot.com/2010/11/step-by-step-screenshot-tutorial-for.html

Simple old tutorial: http://ninety9names.blogspot.com/2010/10/screenshot-and-video-tutorial-for-using.html

Thank you once again.
