Dear Sharma Ji, First if all I would like to thank and welcome
you as the first member of this Universal Bansuri Group. Now 1+1 we
are 11 not 2 and in near future I hope we all Bansuri lovers from all
over the world will progress together. As for as your question
regarding Transverse V/S whistle type is concerned. I would like to
comment as follow:
1. You are a talented flute player.
2. Whistle type Bansuri is easy to play as compared to Transverse
(Side Blown} and more over it has some limitations too. The player can
not put his feelings and emotations to a good extend in this whistle
type Bansuri.
3. In transverse (Side Blown) flute the player can with the passage of
time put his feelings and emotations in his songs. This is done by
change of air pressure, change the tongue position within the mouth,
lifting the fingers in slow motion and so on……
4. I watched some videos of Mr. Khanna on You Tube. I have emailed him
to join this group but unfortunately he has not responded yet. Perhaps
he might be busy. He plays flute very well. And moreover he is a very
good and of helpful nature person. He has posted many helpful videos
on you tube. I suggest you to email him for more tips. He will
certainly help you.
5. I am also learning side blown flute. Do not worry. We are sailing
in the same boat.
6. Your wish of playing Side Blown Bansuri will be fulfilled very
soon. I pray almighty God for your success.

Dear Chauhan Ji,
Now I am the third member of this Universal Bansuri Group. Hope in this way we will able to promote this melodious instrument.
I have read the messages of Sharma Ji too. He is a good bansuri player and as I am in my beginner stage so I hope I can have a lot of help from him too.
(1)   I conveyed your Namastay to my guru ji.
(2)   As I told that I am in the beginner stage and I am only  6 months old in this process. So you can see I am just in the beginning of my learning. Still       I don't know any thing about the Raag and other things as it is a on the higher level for me.
(3)  My guru ji is playing bansuri made by himself as we can't find a 9 or 10 hole bansuri in the market and he has made 8 hole bansuri for me for
learning. I hope soon he will make 9 -10 hole bansuri for me so I can practice on that. In this way not only I am learning how to play bansuri but
I am learning how to make it too. He wrote a book on the Bansuri and that is very interesting and unique book.
(4)  I will try to find out the the name of raag which is difficult to play on the 6 hole bansuri. I will ask to my Guru Ji.
(5)  Chauhan Ji I have a very little knowledge in bansuri so how I will able to tell you the answer of your 6th question. I am pasting your message in
this message so that other member can also give there comments/suggestions on this.
(6)  You have posted lot of videos of very lovely Hindi songs. Can you tell me please who has played all these songs in this videos ?? It is really nice to
know about this great bansuri player.
Now I am closing this message for you hope to have some more suggestions and comments on the bansuri.

Regards
Surendra Kumar Gond

Dear Surinder Kumar Ji,
I was very eagerly waiting for your message.I have posted on my profile that I am a flute maker, but I am a master in a school. But it does not mean that have lied. Music is my hobby. I can make and have made very good flutes. I have a DEEP knowledge of flute making. But as you know playing flute takes a lot of time and I am learning practicing daily for on or two hour. I have so many thing to share with you that I am in a problem of where to start with. Anyway.
1. As per your question. I have made the group the name is universal bansuri group. My channel name is chauhanify. I have posted the link there. open the group. then you will see the option "Join This Group" Then you will be asked to make your profile. Fill the given columns and your message will be displayed on the group. Once you have become the member all your messages will be automatically send to all the group members. If you want to send a personal message to any member that can also be done. This is facility provided by Google totally free for Internet users. Sharma Ji who have posted a series of videos on You tube has all ready become member. Actually I am also on the first stage of this group. But becoming member is not difficult at all. I this email I will post the link of the Group. I am already a member of flute group. But they talk about other flutes. From there I got the Idea. Hence the group.
2.As already mentioned your Guru Ji is really very talented. I requested you to say my Nameste to Guru Ji. I do not know weather you have conveyed My Nameste to hin or not.
3.In your email you mentioned about a Raag. But you have not mentioned the name. If you remember the name,do tell me. Then I will say something.
4. The six hole flute has some benefits. ie
If you select any song take any flute.Play the song. OK. Then take another six hole standers flute. Play the same song. You do not have to change the fingers. Your song will either on high notes or lower notes depending on the flute you choose. This is the general practice all over the world. I am talking the flute which gives the notes on the standerd Keyboard.
5. Now about any other flute with holes more or less than six holes. Only talented persons can handle abnormal flutes with more or less holes. On the flute maker knows which hole is for which note. If he gives his flute to anybody, he will have to tell him what he has done in the flute. Doing new experiments and trying new methods improves the art in any field. Your Guru Ji is doing a very good Job in this direction. I pray God for his more success in this art of flute making. Hope we will learn a lot from one another in the time to come.
6. Now one question for you. I want to know which is the song or songs in Hindi Cinema old songs only which need all the three octave notes. I am not testing your Knowledge brother. This is the question I think you can reply( I am need of this information which is useful for flute making) I will tell you later how its use in flute making.
7. Now I am closing the message. It really takes a long time to write in detail. Try to Join the Group. and try to send this message there also. So that this conversation of ours may become a permanent record for others also.
8.Thanks. Friends I have started the group name is Universal Bansuri Group and email is................... universal-b...@googlegroups.com ................................and Current web address:
http://groups.google.com/gr...
Regards,
S.P.Chauhan
