Dear UFers,
Just a brief report from our recent successful incursion into the world of straight logic: the Association for Symbolic Logic annual meeting in Waterloo, May 8 -- 11.
Vladimir gave the keynote, plenary lecture of the conference, and we also had a special session consisting of 6 talks over 3 days by Guillaume, Peter, Dan, Andre', Michael Warren, and yours truly.
All the talks were very well done, and I think they were well received. I was proud to be associated with such excellent work.
By the way, I had a chat with some ASL honchos and determined that research papers on UF would indeed be welcome in the JSL -- despite some recent restrictions. So if you have a logicy paper that's looking for a home, that's an option to consider.
