Dear All,
Google wants children and youths to have the opportunity to learn and get excited about computer science. This is why we’re supporting the Africa Code Week happening between October 1-10 across 17 African countries.
We’re inviting individuals, groups and not-for-profit organizations, who wish to organize events during the Africa Code Week to exposure more kids to computer science and coding, to apply for micro events grants of up to USD500.
Details about the grants and the application form could be found here. Application deadline is midnight (BST) on September 15th. We’ll communicate application outcomes starting on September 18th.
We encourage recipients of the grant to leverage the Google CS First, http://www.cs-first.com/, materials, which are completely free and available online, to introduce kids to CS. The grant can go towards printing of materials and other logistics costs.
Regards
