Hello friends, acquaintances, colleagues and perhaps some total strangers, I'm pleased to announce the release of my first app for iphone/itouch, now available at the App Store - it's called Philosopher's Garden: Tree of Life.  It's a contemplative game, you might say, exploring the symbols of kabbalah and tarot in a 3D landscape (screenshot attached).  You can read more about it and see the demo video at http://philosophersgarden.com.   There's also a facebook fanpage here.

I built this using Unity for iPhone, with Blender and Photoshop for modelling and texturing, Ableton and Logic for sound design.  Please support your friendly independent game developer and check it out!   Also, be so kind as to forward this to any app lovers you know who might appreciate some cool new eye and brain candy.  I'd greatly appreciate any feedback folks might have to make it better; I intend to do regular updates.  And be sure to leave an honest (i.e. glowing) review at the store!

Sorry if this message is a duplicate, or a mistake - let me know and I'll update my list.

Thanks, and enjoy!

just checked out your site.
i totally dig the theme. Nice to see some inventive use of the medium!
if you're trying to reach a wide audience, the site didn't make it blatantly clear to me what the game was about (a problem w/ being innovative)... actually, I still don't get it. Anyone that doesn't know what a 'tree of life' is may have difficulty here. The video started to drag until 1:42, when it seemed like some meaning started to surface... but like I said, I still don't quite get it (after a *very* brief survey of the site).

best of luck w/ that; I hope it thrives!!

Thanks for the feedback, Phil - I plan on updating the app and posting background info on the site soon; the whole Tree of Life thing does need some 'splanation for folks unfamiliar with Kabbalah.

I couldn't make the last meeting of the Austin group, but I look forward to the next one!  Here's a wip of something a bit less highminded I'm working on for my band (of course): http://kork.us/iAmTheKorkus.html.  Got to get him mounting the trike, put some bad guys, workout a streaming mp3 player, then convert to iphone...hrm...
