Hi,
I'm just starting to get into Unity 3D and would like to get involved
in the local community. I'm in Canberra and I noticed that there are
a couple locals in the group. Is anyone interested in getting
together sometime, to put face to names and get the local community
charged up a bit.

A bit about me:
I'm a professional software developer (for about 15 years) working a
day job in the government. I know all about business software
engineering but not too much about entertainment software
development. I just finished a beginners game programming course at
Canberra's AIE and am keen to follow up with learning Unity 3D and
getting my game idea's up and running on a few platforms.

Why I'm here:
Canberra is a pretty insular kind of place, in my experience, and I'm
keen to find/create a local indie game developers community. To that
end, I am writing this post, and I created a Facebook group
"CanberraIndieGameDev" where my AIE classmates have joined.
Naturally, being a newb, I'm keen to find people who know what they
are doing so that I can learn from them and, in time, hopefully help
others.

I'm also on Google+ so go ahead and friend me (search for Ty Newton);
I won't bite.
