I like it.

Richard.
I like it too. Are you guys thinking of focusing on this particular design?
Can't say I'm a fan of the mint leaf, but overall VERY professional looking.
If everyone likes it, go for it.
Cheers,
Sal
I'm amazed, this is really great, such 'soft and smooth' looking.
My only minor concern is about the 't' character: it looks like 'c' (I've read
the logo as 'unicy' at first glance).
David
What about modifying the 't' like this:

?
David
Okay, spaced the lettering for "unity" a little better.

Actually I find the leaf beside the font better. It would also enable
having one or the other as a standalone item.
very nice ;)
Greetings!

You have my vote also.
Dk
Shouldn't the background be subdued? The logo itself is very vibrant
as it is. I'm just looking at a minimalist concept here... or am I
just getting the concept wrong (which wouldn't be the first time)? :p
IANAArtist but I liked the sky blue background more.
It feels young, fresh and optimistic.
I may be biased because it is my favourite colour.
David
Looks great to me bud.
Sal
I think this texture Ruel chose (first one) is perfect, but just needs
to be faintly visible. And please... I am begging... no more honeycomb haha
To be honest guys, all these colors work really well together, and give
a very secure feeling to the subliminal mind. And using the texture in
the way I mention will give it all just the right hint of "flair", and
yet keep it all more simplistic and solid ;)
but, just an idea.
Hi all,
that idea with honeycomb was teasing me whole afternoon so as I
arrived home I made some drawings in Inkscape.
I am putting here both svg and png files to make it possible for
someone to use it as source for other work.
Second, I tried more variants and I think that the size of the cells
should be modified (I think smaller would be better). I am also not
sure of the color. But maybe it looks better when setting the opacity
of the fill to 60-70%.
Third, in case of using the "honey theme" we also can use slogan like
"Linux, sweet linux." (like Home, sweet home) or "Unity, the sweet
taste of linux." Anyway, I am thinking about creating such wallpaper
for Unity (maybe with Bee-tux). :-D
PS: in last two files with "unity - honeycomb02" in name, all the
cells are clones of the one in the left corner (with arrow) so it
should be easy to modify all the cells at once.
