This study's purpose was to develop a clinical instrument designed to evaluate user satisfaction with assistive technology devices. This paper describes the methodology used to develop the instrument entitled the Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with assistive Technology (QUEST). Based on the theoretical and practical foundations of assistive technology as well as on the concept of satisfaction, preliminary versions of the instrument were created and examined by a panel of team participants. After the panel's recommendations were incorporated, a pretest of the revised instrument was conducted and the final French version of QUEST emerged. The originality of QUEST lies in its inter-activeness and user-directed approach to assessing satisfaction with assistive technology. From a set of 27 variables, the user is asked to indicate the degree of importance he/she attributes to each of the satisfaction variables and then to rate his/her degree of satisfaction with each of the variables considered (quite or very) important. While QUEST remains a clinical instrument undergoing pilot testing, it holds much promise in our quest for a reliable and valid means of assessing assistive technology outcome from the user's perspective.

Those of you who tried to figure out how to replace the knock sensor may have realized that the manual instructs removal of the lower intake manifold and coolant cross-over to get to the sensor, which is a painful process. The knock sensor sits on top of the block, almost in the middle:
The relocation instead places the knock sensor off the end of the block, underneath the distributor.
Looking in the vehicle, there are 3 fairly large connectors between the passenger side of the intake manifold and the brake fluid reservoir. The connector we care about is the 12-pin connector F22. The orange arrow below points out pin 3.
In order to get the knock sensor all the way down, the cover for the coil (shown in the orange box) needs to be removed. The previously removed sensor and bracket just barely fit when placed on top of the knock sensor:
Great info and I appreciate it. I have a question or two though. The new KN harness has 2 wires. Did you only use one of those wires?
Is the new sensor connected to the female connector or the male? And I guess I should ask about the ground. Is the sensor grounding itself to the head/block?
I did not use the ground wire in my installation. The metal insert of the sensor grounds to the block of the vehicle just fine. You may want to clean off the surface a bit to improve the electrical coupling.
Thanks ROTF for this write-up. I hooked mine up on my 1996 Quest using the same new Knock Sensor and Wiring Harness (for the Nissan Maxima) you used here. The 12 pin Quest/Villager connector has a black/white stripe ground wire for the knock sensor wire shielding that runs through at pin 8 with the white knock sensor signal wire at pin 3. Apparently the engineers thought the knock sensor signal wire was subject to disruption by stray electrical noise. I cut the black/white stripe ground wire at the connector and connected it to the gray shielding ground wire on the knock sensor harness. The white wire is connected to the brown sensor signal wire on the knock sensor harness. If you look at the sensor end of the wiring harness, you will see that the gray shielding ground wire does not connect through to the sensor. To make my connection I actually got the connecting wiring harness connector from a 1997 Nissan Maxima at the junkyard and soldered my white and black wires to it and plugged it into the knock sensor harness to make the connection. The 2 inches of pigtail wire on the connector was just the right length to finish the connection.
Hi Bing, the wire harness that I cut has a connector that is between the upper intake manifold and the power steering reservoir. The place where I cut the wire runs through the loom behind the engine and down to the knock sensor that is bolted into the block beneath both intake manifolds.
After fully understand how this work, I followed all steps except that I have 8 pin connectors with 1997 Villager. Today, the car passed the test. Thank everyone for the help. You guy save me around $800.
I thought if P0325 KS code appearing without any other code would not illuminate MIL. Thus, would not affect smog test. I finally was able to get 1 or 2 remain I/M readiness monitor OK (CAT), leaving only the Evap, which is fine as 1996-1999 Gasoline Vehicles can have 1 monitor not-ready. So, Anselm, wondering if you had other trouble code that caused the MIL to light up. Several Nissan models including this Quest/Villager does not illuminate the MIL if P0325 is the only code. GREAT write-up, one of the few online regarding this model/year.
The Quest is a 1996 martial arts movie directed by Jean-Claude Van Damme (until 2014 his only directorial credit), who also stars as Christopher Dubois, a young American, who has to run away from New York, pursued by both mobsters and police. After long adventures Chris appears on a Siamese island where he is trained in martial arts. At last he became a participant of a tournament of best martial artists from all the world.
This is a guide to using Quest. Quest offers a comprehensive test and questionnaire analysis environment by providing a data analyst with access to the most recent developments in Rasch measurement theory, as well as a range of traditional analysis procedures. It includes an easy to use control language with flexible and informative output. Quest can be used to construct and validate variables based on both dichotomous and polychotomous observations. It scores and analyses such instruments as multiple choice tests, Likert type rating scales, short answer items, and partial credit items.

Chex Quest is a total conversion of The Ultimate Doom made by Digital Caf. It was released in specially marked boxes of Chex cereal in 1996, becoming the first game to be included in a cereal box. When it was released, it increased sales by over 200%. It then went on to win both the Golden Reggie Award for Promotional Achievement, and the Silver EFFIE Award for Advertising Effectiveness.
In 1997, Digital Caf released a sequel entitled Chex Quest 2, available for free at www.chexquest.com. A year later, some fans of the series put together Chex Quest 3, which mainly contained graphics and levels stolen from other Doom mods, but eventually an official Chex Quest 3 was released.
Chex Quest begins with an emergency meeting of the members of the Intergalactic Federation of Cereals. In it, it is brought to everyone's attention that a volcano exploded on the surface of Bazoik, a peaceful mining planet renowned for its quality nutritional products. The Chex Squadron captured fragments from the explosion, and discovered that they contained strange, slimy larvae of a creature from another dimension. When exposed to nutritional substances, these larvae abruptly grow into huge, slimy creatures with the capacity to launch slime, which they use as a weapon, in various ways from their bodies. Even more disturbing, communications with Bazoik have been interrupted, and the Federation cannot contact anyone.
Luckily, the scientists from the Federation have found a way to counter the threat. Although regular weapons do not affect the slimy invaders, the scientists have modified the "Zorchers" the main weapon of the federation, to effect a transportation of any object into another dimension.
With this new weapon, the Federation believes that it can subdue the threat, but they need a volunteer. Luckily, Chex Warrior of the Chex Squadron is here to help! Using the new weapon, he is set to face the invaders. Will he succeed? You must play to find out!

Aged with wine
Bought these in 1996...they were quickly absorbed into the family entertainment center digitally with surround sound...kids went off to college enabling me to reclaim my entire sound room...replaced the screens in 2016 and updated my system front end with tubes...am now stereo only...had considered new speakers...so happy I opted to keep these...I now have what I dreamed about while in college...with resurgance in vinyl along with these, I am in a very good place...
Better Late Than Never
I purchased these speakers in January 2012 and have finally gotten them fully functional in March 2012. Dana Brown at Martin Logan was quite helpful in fixing the crossovers to work properly and giving excellent guidance on bringing these fine speakers back to their original specs. Now, they truly outperform the Eminent Technologies, Magnepans, Emerald Physics and dozens of other speakers I have owned. If I ever find another set of these locally, I will snatch them up in a heartbeat. The sound stage and fidelity is truly astounding. The bottom end does not require a subwoofer, although others may disagree. Subs are not a part of a true audiophile's 2-channel system.
