Hi,

I would like to ask for advice on how to set up a course that meets three times a week on odd weeks and two times a week on even weeks, both with fixed time slots.

In our case:

  • The course should always meet at the same times (e.g., Mon/Wed/Fri 10:00–11:00 for odd weeks, and  Wed/Fri  10:00–11:00 for even weeks).

  • The meetings are not recurring weekly; they follow an odd/even week pattern.

  • We would still like to manage room assignments and conflicts through UniTime if possible.

Hello,

You can split the class into two -- one meeting on odd weeks, MWF 10 - 11, and one meeting on even weeks, WF 10 - 11. See https://help.unitime.org/faq/splitting-a-class for more details. The even/odd weeks can be configured as date patterns.

Best regards,

Tomas Muller

Hi Tomas,

Thank you very much for your clear explanation and the helpful reference.
Splitting the class and using date patterns for odd and even weeks makes perfect sense — I’ll try this approach.

Really appreciate your quick and detailed response!

Best regards,
Yunlong
