County will pay unpaid school taxes

Apparently the County is responsible for paying unpaid school taxes.
They are projecting a 50% increase in unpaid taxes. The county will
be put in the position of covering and borrowing to cover unpaid taxes
and our school board in New Paltz thinks it is alright to saddle this
community with a 50 million (76 million with interest) additional debt
to renovate a building that is not unsafe. Sometimes I feel I have
landed on another planet. I'm voting no on February 9th! Everyone
needs to reach out to neighbors because many people are unaware of
this referendum. Remember if the County has to borrow to cover unpaid
school taxes it will also lead to higher property taxes for everyone.
