Prime Minister Hon. Kamla Persad Bissessar meets with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine

Today, Prime Minister Hon. Kamla Persad Bissessar SC met with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine at the Diplomatic Centre as Trinidad & Tobago reaffirmed its strong relationship with the United States as a global ally on the key priorities of regional security and stability.

Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar expressed her Government's continued commitment to working to ensure that the harmful effects of narco trafficking, human trafficking & transnational crime were eradicated for the benefit of our citizens, country, and region.

The Prime Minister expressed her gratitude for the existing cooperation between both nations as they have been built on decades of diplomacy & mutual benefit as global allies, now forming an instrumental partnership to protect our region. 

Members of the T&T delegation welcomed Gen. Caine's acknowledgement and appreciation for Trinidad and Tobago’s continued leadership and efforts to working closely to ensure a stronger, safer & more secure region.
