To find exact repeated verses in the Quran using QuranCode software,
1. Select SimplifiedXX (in my case Simplified29) as it Original it will take extremely long time,
2. Select ALL VERSES (not VERSE == current verse only) in the "By Similarity" search box
3. Set the similarity percentage to 100% and then click Find.
After 10 minutes or so you will get the result of 275 ayas in sha Allah.

To find similar verses in the Quran using QuranCode software,
1. Select SimplifiedXX (in my case Simplified29) as it Original it will take extremely long time,
2. Select ALL VERSES (not VERSE == current verse only) in the "By Similarity" search box
3. Set the similarity percentage to any ratio you prefer (I used 90%, then 80%, then 69% to get"فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ" with the 31 "فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ" and then click Find.
After 1 hour or so minutes or so you will get the result in sha Allah.

In the latest QuranCode [QuranCode شفرة القرءان] you can right-click on any verses in the main text and choose Similar Verses or F8 to find all verses with words that come from the same root as all words of the clicked verse. This is Find similar verses by Meaning, not by Text similarity.

I will in sha Allah add this (find by similar meaning) to the "By Similarity" search box too:

The new moon of Shawwal will in sha Allah be born Thursday 16th July 2015 01:24UT after midnight (2:24 UK Time). Therefore, Eid should start on Thursday in sha Allah.

In an ideal world, all the world starts and ends Ramadhaan at the same moment (birth of the moon) so we may start fasting from anytime during the day (even after midday) and start Eid anytime during the day (even after midday).
Anyone agrees?

Salam brother Hatim,

Seeing is not required as per Quran.
The word "shahada" = "witness" is not Reaa = See
The word "shahr" = month is not Hilaal or Qamar = crescent or moon.

Witnessing an event can be done using any of the five senses and to be accepted one has to be sane (not mad). Therefore what God swt says is "Whoever is alive and sane during the month of Ramadhaan, MUST fast it,.. except ill, pregnant, travellers, or those who cannot bear it, so they shoud feed poor people instead.

Also there is no requirement that the fasting must be whole days. Part of days are implicit once the month starts.

God knows all.

Well, we are to start and end the month by seeing the new moon. Seeing requires it to be of some size. 10 hours is the minimum time period for the moon to be visible. This has been factored into theoretical calculations.
As to when the first day starts. We have a convention that a day starts at sunset.  A fasting day is from sunrise to sunset with no divisions

These are the start and end of fasting duration. AND the Muslims even on this are divided :( [Shafaq or Civic twilight for Sunni and Ghasaq or Nautical Twightlight for Shia]

These boundary conditions (start and end times) DO NOT forbid starting half-way through once the month enters.

Just as you would join Mass prayer (salat al-jamaa3a half-way through).

Allah and His Messenger know best.
Allah knows ALL.

Enjoy the rest of Ramadhaan :)

Ali

The days are clear in aya  about fasting from dawn till dusk.
There is a convention for what a month is. We can invent new conventions but not to change the religion.
