Salam all,

The first example given by the author of this PPT presentation:
A3ootho biAllah, bismAllah
Quran 2:178
يايها الذين ءامنوا كتب عليكم القصاص في القتلى الحر بالحر والعبد بالعبد والانثى بالانثى فمن عفي له من اخيه شيء فاتباع بالمعروف واداء اليه باحسن ذلك تخفيف من ربكم ورحمة فمن اعتدى بعد ذلك فله عذاب اليم

Is this ورحمة present here is this life or is it in the future in the hereafter?

To me it seems:

RAHMAA (Taa marboota) is generic
RAHMAT (Taa taweela) is specific

Allah A3lem

Salam

Ali

Subject: رحمة و رحمت

Assalaamu'Alaykum

I have attached a file concern the difference between words like رحمة و رحمت and نعمة و نعمت etc..

I will also provide some links for you to read further into the issue.

In the end we extract two benefits from these words being written like this. First, that is a means of preserving the different classical Arabic dialects like lughatul Tayy etc. and secondly there are rhetorical benefits as well.

This link here is dealing with something called Bab At-Taa'aat [The Chapter of Ta's] in the language.

Lastly, I would like to advise the brothers to stick the way of the scholars of the Arabic Language in finding out the true meaning of words and verbs. Its okay to say this word or this verb occurs a certain number of times etc. But when we start going so deep into numbers etc. It takes one off course of what is truly intended.

One of the links provided in one of the emails was mentioning the number 19. This is something well known from a person by the name of Rashaad Khaleefah. He was massively refuted by the scholars for his ideas. He ended up claiming to know when the day of judgement was going to be and later claimed Prophethood.
I understand that someone may look at all these words and verbs as a code to crack and it starts to become this game to try and crack the code etc.. But this is not what is know from any of the scholars of Islam, past and present.

May ALLAH give us true understanding of HIS book. Ameen Ya Rabb

Wassalaamu'Alaykum

Ihsaan
