Biography
Ms R.Vijayalakshmi joined PSG College of Technology in June 2004. She has been designated as Assistant Professor since June 2007. Earlier, she worked for one year in a Software Industry as System Analyst and 8 years at P.K.R.
Arts College for Women where she was the Head of the Department of Computer Science for 2 years.
She is currently the Course Coordinator for Computer Programming Languages for all BE/B.Tech. Programme in PSG College of Technology. She is also the mentor for MSc Software Engineering students. She has been a member of Board
of Studies for M.Sc Software Engineering, PSG College of Technology.
Research Interests
Research specialization includes the fields of
- Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery - Specifically in graph based data mining for communication networks, chemical databases and social networks.
- Graph Modeling – Building graph models with novel data structures which could be used to store and retrieve graph patterns with reduced time and space complexities.
Currently she is collaborating with UniSA in the area of Cognitive Neuro-Engineering in support of the on-going research programs in cognitive modeling, pattern identification and visualization using graph-theoretic approach
in association with Prof. Nanda Nandagopal.
