Title: User Performance Comparison of Physical Buttons Versus Projected Virtual Buttons
Abstract: This seminar presents the results of an experiment that compares interactions with physical and projected virtual buttons. The aim was to see how well the virtual buttons emulate the physical
buttons. Then we could see how well virtual buttons would work in areas such as industrial design, product testing, or training. The projected virtual buttons act like a touchscreen; they are flat, provide no 3D feedback when pressed, and activate on touch
regardless of how much pressure is used. We investigated whether these properties made a difference when interacting with the virtual buttons. This seminar will describe the motivation and setup for the experiment, as well as the results and observations we
concluded from our data.
Kind regards
Kerry
