Is uniqush-conn still supported

I just evaluate a notification system, googled found the uniqush-conn which support sever directly sent the notifications to the mobile agent without using

C2DM or APNs, but the last commit is 2 years ago besides the project says "Please do not use it right now.". Does it means that its not maintained now?

Or the uniqush-push implements such feature?
