I have opened a few threads relating to the demise of Flash at the end of 2020,
and here is yet another one.
I have hatched a plan, which may or may not work, depending on how determined the browser people are to kill off Flash.
My plan is this:
Part 1:
Install a separate browser JUST for running Union Admin or other Flash apps.
I chose Opera - then unchose it in favor of Brave browser (for reasons described below).
Part 2:
Don't install updates, ever!
I don't worry about security issues because I won't be using it for general browsing.
If the way they plan to kill off Flash is "Flash will no longer work starting with update X.xx",then my preservation plan will work.
If
they have gone the extra mile and embedded code which checks the date
and refuses to run Flash after 31 Dec 2020, then it won't. Come January 1, we shall see.
Why not Opera?
It auto-updates, and the way to stop that was described on some web forum seemed too complex. So I tried Brave, and stopping it from auto-updating was simple (just rename the update program so it won't run.)
