Theft from cars and shoplifting in the Midway area gets our attention in the attached report (March 14-20). That's why Police officers have been asking businesses to post signs reminding patrons not to leave anything of value in their vehicles. In the perfect world, we would all be disciplined, never leaving anything eye-catching in view. That way Union Park might not be seen as an easy target.
At the Western District Community Meeting this month, we learned that the quicker graffiti is removed, the less likely it will return. So, we are asked to report graffiti the minute we see it by calling 651-266-8989. I suggest you put this number on your cell phone. But, here’s the catch. The Parks & Recreation department is inundated with complaints. So, it may take awhile before any action can be taken. Who would like to learn how to properly remove or cover graffiti so that we can take care of these problems as quick as possible?
Please let me know if you have any suggestions regarding these or any other issues.
Have a great week!
