Good Afternoon,

 

The most recent Crime Notification Report (August 2-8, 2012) for the Union Park District Council is attached.

 

UPDC Residents: National Night Out was a HUGE success! Union Park had over 25 parties and there were more than 250 city-wide!!


Last week's burglary update from the SPPD:

The Western District has had 13 burglaries in the past 7 days. Please reference the grid map provided here to see which grid you live in.   From the date 8/03/2012 through 8/09/2012, the following burglaries have occurred in grid order (bold are Union Park):

Grid 25 - 1 no forced entry day residence
Grid 43 - 1 no forced entry day garage
Grid 64 - 1 no forced entry day residence
Grid 86 - 1 attempted forced entry night residence occupied
Grid 66 - 1 no forced entry night garage
Grid 87 - 1 forced entry day residence
Grid 122 - 1 forced entry night residence occupied
Grid 123 - 1 no forced entry night garage

Grid 127 - 1 forced entry day residence occupied
Grid 128 - 1 forced entry day residence
Grid 129 - 1 no forced entry night garage
Grid 146 - 1 no forced entry night residence
Grid 148 - 1 no forced entry night garage
Grid 164 - 1 no forced entry night residence

61% of the week total burglaries occurred at night.  69% of the 13 total were no forced entry.  Please remember that locking your doors and windows at your home and garage may help prevent burglaries.

If you see a suspicious person(s) or activity in your neighborhood, always call 911 immediately so police can investigate!  Saint Paul Police need, want, and appreciate your calls and help.  Do for your neighbors as you would want them to do for you.

 

The Union Park District Council's Neighborhood Issues Committee (NIC) meets once per month to discuss issues related to Crime and Safety, Traffic Calming and Pedestrian Issues, and Neighborhood Communication and Outreach.  All NIC meetings are open to the public and the committee welcomes community participation.  The next NIC meeting will be on Monday, August 13th from 6:30-8pm.  For more information, please contact the Union Park office at (651)645-6887 or by email at in...@unionparkdc.org
