Hi everyone,

We just got our water bill for the past three months and it jumped
from $54 to $341!! Incredible considering I shower at the gym 4-5 days
a week and it's just Brian and I. Anyone on Lombard notice an increase?

I know with commercial properties if you increase the size of the water pipe bringing water into the property to 2" service there's a big jump in fee whether you use more water or not. My organization experienced this and It's ridiculously unfair as we're also a nonprofit. It would be even worse if applied to residences. Hasn't there been some work on water mains this winter on your block?

Lombard and Calhoun had a water main brake the day before the snow and
a few in February. They've been drilling for weeks on Calhoun to work
on stopping the water. Why should I be paying for that?

You're absolutely right and if there is any connection the Association should fight it with all we have. But I'd start by asking the city "Why the increase?"

There were a few pipes that burst.  Are they charging us for that wasted water flowing down the street?!
