Hello
I've tried to change the default uni2 profile name to a longer one (laposte), but that kept failing,

[Dec  7 16:20:05] DEBUG[16554][C-00000001] app_mrcprecog.c: Apply option p: laposte
[Dec  7 16:20:05] DEBUG[16554][C-00000001] audio_queue.c: (ASR-0) Audio queue created
[Dec  7 16:20:05] DEBUG[16554][C-00000001] speech_channel.c: Created speech channel: Name=ASR-0, Type=RECOGNIZER, Codec=PCMA, Rate=8000 on PJSIP/scr1-test-00000000
[Dec  7 16:20:05] DEBUG[16520] app_mrcprecog.c: (ASR-0) speech_on_channel_add
[Dec  7 16:20:05] ERROR[16520] app_mrcprecog.c: (ASR-0) Channel error status=1, response code=0!

After quite some try&err, I've changed the name laposte to lap2 and it works !! Are there any restrictions on the profile name ? what would they be ?

Rgds
J.

I am at lost here... I've tried different profile names, and here are the results:
lap :does not work
lap2 : works
lap5: works
lapx : does not work
lapx2 : does not work

strange, isnt it ?

to clarify, I am using the asterisk client MRCP plugin, using the MRCPRecog command, and editing profilenames in /etc/asterisk/mrcp.conf (and restart asterisk after each change)

Finally solved it, the client-port, rtp-port-min and max have to unique and cant be shared among profiles:

That is right, the local port numbers must be unique per profile. By enabling UniMRCP logs, you should be able to spot the problem early.
