How to integrate in-house Java API with UniMRCP for STT , TTS and AI Response

Hi all,

We wanted use unimrcp for SIP calling. As per the provided solution, we can connect with google dialogflow , watson assistant , etc. For Conversational Response to user but in our case we have our API to fulfil this requirement. 

How to integrate in-house Java API with UniMRCP.

Hi Azhar,

You would need to implement a new plugin to UniMRCP server based on your API.

Perhaps it would make sense to implement the plugin in C/C++ by running your engine as a separate service.

     Now we have installed google speech to text and text to speech solution of unimrcp and now wanted to add our inhouse AI service instead of dialogue flow solution provided by unimrcp.

Hi Azhar,

Starting from GSR 1.22.0, it is possible to trigger a webhook upon completion of speech transcription. In brief, the transcribed text is passed as an input parameter and the data received in return is set in the NLSML result sent back to the MRCP client. You may use the attached proto file to define such a service endpoint which would interact with your Java API.

Thanks for your kind reply. I would really add a suggestion to have a video tutorials on the unimrcp services. Which will be widely helpful to understand each and every services that unimrcp server provides us.

Thanks for your feedback. You are right. The trouble is I have very limited or basically no time to coordinate this sort of activity, which would indeed help shorten the learning curve for newcomers.
