Dear Group,

I am new to unimrcp. I am trying to use the Microsoft Azure speech recognition with the unimrcp. Where I can set path for API so when i can MRCPRECOG commands, it can send the request to microsoft server and then bring the converted results.

Thanks

Hello Asif,

In order to communicate to a 3-rd party speech recognition service/engine, you need to implement a plugin to the UniMRCP server.

Look at the demo ASR plugin

and check out the relevant documentation

Thanks for your reply. I have a few questions if you could help me

1. If we setup Demo-recog as it is, what words it can recognize without installing any other ASR engine?
2. Microsoft speech recognition is http based , will a plugin be able to support it and is it worth implementing using unimrcp as compare to sending direct api calls using Asterisk?
3. UNIMRCP work better on freeswitch or asterisk in term on high load of concurrent calls?

Appreciate ur efforts

demo-recog does not attempt to perform recognition, all the demo plugins are pure simulator.

It depends on what your goals are. If you want to use a standard-compliant interface, then MRCP is the right choice. Otherwise, you can directly utilize the API from Asterisk.

3. UNIMRCP work better on freeswitch or asterisk in term on high load of concurrent calls?

Should be nearly the same.

Appreciate ur efforts
