AWS Polly Plugin 1.17.0 Released

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Polly Speech Synthesis Plugin 1.17.0 to the UniMRCP Server (UMS) has been released.

The plugin is based on the following components:

• AWS SDK 1.11.804

The plugin is available for the following UMS versions:

• 1.7.0
• 1.8.0

The binaries are currently available for the following Linux distributions:

• Red Hat 8
  • unimrcp-polly-1.7.15-1.el8.x86_64.rpm
  • unimrcp-polly-1.8.6-1.el8.x86_64.rpm
• Red Hat 9
  • unimrcp-polly-1.7.15-1.el9.x86_64.rpm
  • unimrcp-polly-1.8.6-1.el9.x86_64.rpm
• Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
  • unimrcp-polly_1.7.15-jammy_amd64.deb
  • unimrcp-polly_1.8.6-jammy_amd64.deb
• Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
  • unimrcp-polly_1.7.15-noble_amd64.deb
  • unimrcp-polly_1.8.6-noble_amd64.deb

This release is built against a newer version of AWS SDK.

The detailed list of changes introduced in this release follows.

New Features

• Allow to explicitly specify whether IMDS calls should be enabled or not. Disabled by default.

Fixed Problems

• None.

Configuration Parameters

• Added a new attribute 'imds' to the element 'umspolly'.

Miscellaneous

• Updated the Usage Guide to reflect the changes introduced in this release.
• Upgraded the AWS SDK from 1.11.469 to 1.11.804 version.
