Hi all,

I see someone is working on Afrikaans. I think I can help with that as I have a large manually verified word list with lemmas and morphosyntactic features.
Could you please contact me?

Thanks!

Best regards,

Peter

Dear Peter,

Thank you so much for willing to contribute to UniMorph! We were planning to add it (extract the data from Wiktionary when it becomes available); we don't have anyone specifically focusing on Afrikaans.
I have created a repo for you https://github.com/unimorph/afr, please send me your git account, I will add you there, and you can add the data and references.

You may use other Germanic languages as examples of annotation (https://github.com/unimorph/deu, github.com/unimorph/gsw, or any other from https://unimorph.github.io/), the UM features are provided in https://unimorph.github.io/doc/unimorph-schema.pdf.

If possible, please provide an extra file specifying the conversion of language-specific features into the UniMorph ones (here is a good example of such notes: https://github.com/unimorph/gup/blob/main/notes).

Feel free to contact me/Ryan Cotterell if you need any help.  Khuyagbaatar Batsuren may provide technical assistance in converting the data.

Warm regards,
Ekaterina Vylomova
