We are facing an issue with the billing for our translation services using the Google Translation API. Its been pending with the support team for the last 2 months and we are yet to get a proper reply or clarification on the query. We have provided all the inputs including the estimated daily character count which differs significantly with what google is showing as the character count.
I completely understand your frustration. Dealing with a billing discrepancy and not getting a clear response from support can be very stressful. I can see how this has been ongoing for two months, and that must be incredibly difficult.
I've looked into the Cloud Translation open issues to see if there's anything similar. Unfortunately, I found a feature request instead, asking for the ability to see translation cost estimates or billed character counts. This might not be the solution you were hoping for, but hopefully it sheds some light on why there might be a delay.

Currently i am in touch with customer support and we have been trying to figure why there remains a difference which has come down to 30% for June as off now. Down from 50% in apr and may and 80% in March. I assume some changes are being made by google .
FYI, the Modern Library edition is also available for the Kindle. I have a Kindle. I use a Kindle. I like my Kindle a lot. But reading Proust on a Kindle just seems wrong somehow. If anyone feels differently about this, please let me know.

I have been immersed in Proust these last couple of months, thoroughly enjoying volumes 1-4 of the new Penguin translations. I am almost at the end of Sodom and Gomorrah, translated by John Sturrock, and now I am stymied. How do I find volumes 5-7? Do I have to revert to the old translation (which is what kept me from reading Proust for many years)?

Hello, thank you for your reponse. Although helpful, this does not resolve my issue described in my post. I am trying to combine two field parameters - one for matrix content, another for translation of product names.
Ahmad, you have a lot or experience (compared to many freelancers who try to offer translation on Upwork). That's what you should highlight in your profile. Talk more about the sort of translations you are familiar with rather than about your present situation.
One more thing, there are many scammers on Upwork looking for newcomers to scam, so I advise you to be very careful. Please take the time to get as much information as you can on how Upwork works before applying to jobs.
I am on San Diego version and the check box Use Global desciptions for translations which is available in HR Task Template is not working. When I'm changing the language to Spanish I'm still getting same Short Description text in English (refer the screenshot). I already have the plugins for Brazilan Portuguese and Spanish activated in my instance.
