On my 32 uniflite ss I have sliding glass doors on the back, and was able to get the lock smith to make a key but would like to know if anyone found replacement parts anywhere. They were made in the north west, company does not exist anymore, from my research. I am on long island and the boat was made on east coast , I also have yet to see a uniflite with the sliders here, Not sure where the majority of these fine vessels reside. Not too many here.

Hi George! Uniflites and Tollycraft are fine crafts, each with great
build-out integrety. I believe they both were constructed in the upper
North West (Tolly was I know). There are plenty of each type boat here in
the Nor West. I've owned both brands in SF Bay; enjoyed each. When I was
boating out of Freeport and Merrick LI in the 50's and 60's these two makes
began to become popular due to their great designs and superior
build-qualities. I remember them well in their first years of presentation
at MSG NY, NY boat shows However, I guess, they never became too plentiful
in New England states due to shiping costs, limited numbers of sales
locations... etc. I've heard of Uni owners with same sliders as you mention
going to good door manufacturers and having entirely new sliders fabricated
to suite. The reports I recall were good! Best Luck - Art

Hi George,
I have not seen any Uni's with sliders, but I have a friend whose dad owned a Uniflite dealership in Freeport, L.I. in the sixties.I'm sure he can answer some of your questions. We both live in Florida now, but he still has lots of contacts. I'll call him and ask for his advise. My Uni is a 1976 Mega which I've been doing extensive improvements to. I love the boat, but can no longer operate it.(health issues). If you know of anyone who might be interested in her, please let me know. In the meantime, I'll try to get some info for you on the sliders.

Does anyone know if the 1984 46' Uniflite windlass has a dedicated battery?
If so, where is it?

I cannot trace the source cable to either the GenSet battery nor the engine
batteries. It goes into the floor of the anchor locker, then disappears.
Both the Genset and engine batteries are several feet aft and I've been told
the windlass battery is generally very close to the windlass.

I've lifted every access cover I can find and cannot find either a battery
or the source cable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Doug
