Anyone know where I can find out what model Princess stove I have?  It is a 3 electric burner with an oven.  There are of course at least 4 different models.  Anyone know how to find a model number?  I can't find it anywhere and need to order up some parts.

Thanks,

Kerry

Mine has a sticker with model number and wiring diagram on the back
panel, top left (as you face the back panel) above where the AC line
goes in.

They went out of business but Seaward bought them up.  Check out the link.

I think the above is my unit.  I pulled it out of the wall last night.  I looked on every major surface and there are absolutely no markings on it anywhere other than the Princess logo on the front.  Amazing!  What I need is the stainless piece that attaches to the wood cutting board to go completely over the burns.  It is miss.  I only have that would cutboard.  I also need the chrome trim that goes around the outside front edge that covers the front where you drop the unit in.  Ah yes the joy!

LOL
I pulled the princess unit out 8-10 months ago and refinished the galley all granite countertops and puttin in black glass cooking surfaces.
I put a dishwasher where the old "easy-bake oven" was .
It was listed on craigslist forever and nobody wanted it. I gave it to a friend who took it to a swap meet to sell.   It still had the rotisory and all the manuals.  i will ask her if she sold it and if she has not, i will let you know.
IT worked great; except when you had to cook anything on it.  You would think that they would sell little princess cooking ware to fit the top.

What a shame.

Kerry,
I have an Empress electric range made by, Galley Maid Marine Products.  It looks just like the picture you sent.  To the left of the four knobs is a toggle switch for the oven light and to the right of the knobs is the name, "Galley Maid" and "Empress" is under that. It was manufactured in 1983 and is the original equipment in my galley.  A year ago I emailed Galley Maid because I needed the oven door gasket set.  I don't see the model information right now, but I told them it was an "Empress/Countess Electric Range, SN: 000122, 120VAC".  I must have found the "Countess" part from their website.  Anyway, if it is of interest, here is the address that I used:
Galley Maid Marine Products, Inc.
60 NE 110 Street
Okeechobee, Fl 34972
galle...@starband.net
I don't see their URL handy, but a search should find it.

You are so right about the burner size. I never found a need to cook
one egg, one piece of bacon and a toasted cheese sandwich in 3
separate mini pans , but have I got the stove to do it!.

I cooked breakfast for 8 on that thing. Ya they are small but you can make
due. Heck...it's a lot better than my old boat! It was dual fuel and
couldn't even boil water.

Another possibility on model number, although I haven't verified to
respond to this question:

Remove the burners and burner pans. Lift open the burner deck - there
are clips on each side, you may need to use a screwdriver to release
the clips. At the front of the unit under the burner deck there's a
metal cover over the electrical connections. Unscrew the cover.
Underneath, adhered to the top of the oven casing, is a sticker that
shows the alternate electrical connections and *may* also have the
model number printed on it.

The alternative electrical connections allow you - if you have the
electrical capacity - to bypass the switch that you use to select
between the oven and out one of the burners. In other words, if you
have the capacity, you can rewire the unit so all top burners and the
oven can be used together. The default installation, with the switch,
keeps total current draw below 20 amps. If you use all burners plus
the oven, you're right around 30 amps, and you need a circuit breaker
and wiring on both the branch circuit and the house main that will
handle that load.

This information is from my memory; I bought my Princess range (used)
a couple of years ago and replaced the input lead which was brittle
and cracked. I remember seeing the decal when I was doing the wiring,
but decided not to go with the full functionality option since I only
have a 30-amp house circuit. If for some reason someone was using all
3 burners and the oven, and the water heater kicked on, it would
overload my system.

Good luck at any rate.

Hello all,

I just got back online from a computer failure and am just reading
this thread.

I am re-fitting my 36' SS and am re-designing the galley. The new
design does not use the original princess stove / oven. I am going to
use a convection microwave and a griddle / hot plate. Therefore I am
going to sell the original princess 3 burner stove / oven. I figured
I would offer it for sale to Uniflite people first before I post it on
eBay.

I have posted pictures of the unit in the files section. All the file
names begin with 'range'

As of this posting, I have not tested the unit. I assume it to be a
120V version, Because the boat has a 120V only gen set. I will test
it before I ship it as I would not want to buy a faulty unit, let
alone sell one.

The pans seen in the pictures are included.

I will box and crate the unit for shipping. The buyer will have to
pay actual shipping costs from zip code 30116.

Similar units have sold for about $500 on eBay. Make me an offer for
the unit. E-mail to: (get my e-mail from my profile) or call me
at:

seven seven zero - six three four - six two eight six.

Sorry for the way I wrote those, but it keeps automated i-net searches
from picking up on the info.

Happy boating!

Victor
