Hi, I've put together a new test build of Aspire that uses garbage
collection, which I suspect may help with the crashing behavior. If
you could try it out and let me know what you find, that would be very
much appreciated!

You can grab it here:

Thanks very much
Mark

Hi there,

I could not manage to crash this build! ;)

But when i focussed in and out i got this:

Suddenly i've got two instances of the same goal i've just tried to focus in on. When i change on goal, the other stays like it is...

Putting the optimistic face on things, change is as least a good
start. ;-) I'll see if I can duplicate that behavior here..

Thanks

I find the same problem. Here's what I did after replacing Aspire.app
with the GC version:
Launch, uncheck all the boxes for demo goals and click Use Selected OR
just click Cancel (tested both).
Add a goal and change its text to Test, add a couple obstacles, add
several solutions to one of them.
Click the other buttons left to right a few times each, open and close
notes.
Open and close Aspire preferences, click File and mouse over each
menus left to right.
It crashes after displaying the Windows menu when I try to move on to
Help.
Here's the error:

If it doesn't crash right away, usually it will if I continue mousing
over the menus, but the error is a little different:

(thanks to J.Edens for leading me to skitch.com:)

Thanks, that was very helpful, and I was able to track down and fix
that problem. I've updated the version at
http://www.unifiq.com/tmp/AspireGC.zip

Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

Seems to pass that test now; I'll have to find a new way to crash
it ;)
It'll have to wait for the weekend though, but that Buy License button
is looking mighty good...

Ha! Good timing though... I just pushed that version out "officially"
as 0.9.2.

Thanks again
Mark
