I touched on this subject in the ccif group, but I think this is the
proper place to discuss the subject:

http://code.google.com/p/unifiedcloud/source/browse/trunk/ontologies/cloud.owl

This is our current ontology document for representing infrastructure
and platform clouds, along with many of the resources above and below
them. We're looking for feedback from cloud vendors and interested
parties to see if there's something obvious that we've neglected to
represent, or if you feel some items are extraneous. This
representation is meant to be inclusive of most of the features an
infrastructure or platform cloud would have, but not so specific as to
have all the extra features that make specific cloud providers unique
(those go under the Vendor_Extensions branch).

Thanks!

Should this integrate other virtualization container / relationship
formats like OVF, or will they just be a subclass of VM_Container ?

OVF is a container for VM's themselves.  This is more a representation for all cloud resources, including platform clouds like Google App Engine.  We have a new document coming out soon, I'll announce as soon as it's available.  We think the new one makes a lot more sense.
