Dear UNICASE users,

we are happy to announce that we have successfully released a new external version 0.5.2.

Fixes and Noteworthy Improvements:
* Support Eclipse Helios, Indigo and Juno.
* Builds on the latest (i.e 0.9.3) version of EMFStore and EMF Client Platform project (To see what new features you get with 0.9.3, please visit the corresponding website of the two projects).
* Wide range of features from UNICASE-dev team and from the project partners.
* Eclipse Papyrus integration with UNICASE, thus UML and SysML modeling based on the latest specification from OMG.
* Versioning and tracking of Papyrus diagrams as normal UNICASE model elements.
* Several other fixes and improvements.

Installation:
* Remove the hidden folder .emfstore/, if you have one under your home directory
* Reinstall unicase external version from our update site: http://unicase.googlecode.com/svn/updatesite/release/0.5.2/
We highly recommend you to use a fresh Eclipse instance (no unicase installed before) to avoid any conflicts.
* You can also choose to download a suitable standalone version from our download page (https://teambruegge.informatik.tu-muenchen.de/groups/unicase/wiki/50f86/Downloads.html). Out standalone product is updateable. So you can easily update in the future to get our new features and improvements, even when you are using standalone version.
*  We have integrated Papyrus into this release, which supports UML and SysML diagrams. You can install Papyrus features from Eclipse Papyrus in UNICASE 0.5.2. (right-click and copy the link)

Server Connection:
* After the installation, you should see a repository: unicase.in.tum.de in the EmfStore Browser. Go to "properties" of this repository and select the "unicase.org 2012" certificate for this repository. The other certificate "emfstore test certificate (do not use in production!)" can be used for testing purposes, when you are running your own server. If you want to set up your own server and use a customized certificate, please check this tutorial to create your own keystores: https://teambruegge.informatik.tu-muenchen.de/groups/unicase/wiki/a44fd/Creating_keystores_for_encryption.html
* We have reorganized the projects hosted on the unicase.in.tum.de server, as well as the users. Please send me a short notice if you are willing to have access to certain projects.

We no longer support the old versions of UNICASE. If you encounter any problems using this release, please submit a bug report to the unicase-bug mailing list.

For more information about installation, please visit http://unicase.org

We wish you enjoy using the new release and looking forward to your feedback!

Cheers,
Yang

Hi!

I set up a server in my server and I have a project already ther. Is the data in the server compatible with this new version?

Best regards

Hi,

No, its not possible to work with the data from the old server/client in the new release due to the meta-model change.

Best regards
Nitesh
