I am not able to login to the unicase server. These are the steps I followed.

- Downloaded server from http://wwwbruegge.in.tum.de/static/unicase/unicase-server0.4.5/UnicaseServer0.4.5.win32.win32.x86_64.zip
- Downloaded client from http://wwwbruegge.in.tum.de/static/unicase/unicase-0.4.5.win32.win32.x86_64.zip
- Unzipped the server archive and ran "emfstore.exe -console" from the console
- Unzipped the client archive and ran unicase.exe
- Checked server log - says server has started succesfully (file attached)
- Checked default es.properties for super username/password
- TCPView shows that emfstore is utilizing on ports 1097, 1098, 1099, 8080
- In the unicase client, emfbrower view created a new repository with url=localhost, port=1099, certificate=unicase.org 2010#1
- Tried to login using super/super session - always the error is 'Server could not be reached' - no errors in log file (file attached)

I am not able to connect using guest/gu...@unicase.in.tum.de:443 - same error.
The java version I am using is 1.6.0_21.
Before I download the code and debug, is there anything obvious I am missing?

Your sever log shows that the xml rpc port is 8080, so please update the settings in the emfstore browser view.
If still doesn't work check your IP and use that in place of localhost.

unicase.in.tum.de server is currently under maintenance, so obviously not reachable.

No such obvious things to be done. Although i noticed in the client log that you get some exceptions. Hopefully the data on the client side is damaged. A quick solution for this problem is to delete .unicase folder from your user home folder.

Finally, if you further get a keystore issue, change the certificate setting to use the test certificate.

If you still have any issue, let me know.
Best regards,
Nitesh

Hi Nitesh,

Thanks for the quick response, much appreciated.
Like you pointed out the port configuration for the repository in the emfbrower view was the issue. Its working now. I am able to create elements and check it in.
I deleted the .unicase folder, restarted the server and client, and updated the port to use 8080.

Looking at the unicase manual under - Add a New Repository: it states that the default port is 1099, which is why I tried with 1099, thinking that its the RMI port that the client needs, not the http port.

Thanks a lot,
Varghese C V
