Not able to login in UniCase

i have installed Eclipse in my system and was trying to  follow the video tutorial to login into Unicase but "GUEST" login is not working for me and i am not able to connect to Unicase server and it say server cannot be reached. Steps followed are as follows:

1) install eclipse 

2)  go to help >> install new software

3) give the path for Unicase

4) Install unicase

5) followed the video tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hN9KzUWtz6c&feature=relmfu

Is there any specific approval login in need to get to signin in Unicase?

same here. No luck reaching the UNICASE server - unicase.in.tum.de.

 

I tried one step further. installed the unicase server, aka emfstore and added a user to conf/user.properties (created the file too) and am not able to login to the localhost server using either super or created user. Please help. I am stuck at this.

I could go further, based on the other thread with same problem, changed the login port to xmlrpc port which is 8080 by default. Now I see a keystore problem.

thanks for your interest in unicase.

Unfortunately, unicase.in.tum.de server is currently under maintenance, so not reachable.

Alternatively, you can set up your own server. Please find relevant information here https://teambruegge.informatik.tu-muenchen.de/groups/unicase/wiki/50f86/Downloads.html , where you can download UNICASE server, as well as a user manual.

Hi Pankaj,

Have you selected a matching certificate?
Can you please try:
- delete .unicase folder from your user home folder.
- Start unicase server
- change the certificate setting from the client Emfstore browser to
use the test certificate.

More detailed HowTos can be found in the mentioned user manual.

That worked. BTW creating the entry in emfstore browser and using the xmlrpc port and using the test certificate does not seem to be documented in the manual.

BTW given that the sample unicase server is down for maintenance, where can we get hold of the sample project which is to be checked out from the sample server?

Thanks much. That was good. One query - is it possible to put a revision history on the exported PDF. One can always add a composite section and then leaf sections for each revision, but was seeing if there is a better way.
