Network protocol of the Unicase client

Hello,

for a corporate firewall/proxy setting, I would need to know which protocol is used by the unicase client for talking to the unicase server. The documentation of unicase says that the server can use RMI and XML-RPC in parallel, but I could not find information on which protocol the unicase client actually uses. Please help me with this.
