Hi,
Time for life signs:
- QBone PCB prototypes arrived,
- QProbe (QBUS LED and Logic Analyzer interface) was designed and prototypes arrived,
- G9047 QBUS GRANT continuity and voltage monitor was designed and prototypes arrived,
- SMD soldering by JLCPCB went smooth, good quality.
- PDP-11/23+ build from parts as testbed
- nacked H9275 backplane setup as testbed
- Everything plugged together and cabled to the logic analyzer ... learning curve
- Big software fork: parallel to "UniBone" (old UNIBUS variant) a new software branch "QUniBone" supports now both the UniBone and the QBone, with lots of conditional compiles
- 4 CPLDs in QBone and QProbe are programmed. ADDR/DATA multiplexing on DAL bus lines OK.
- Stress test procedures for the central signal loop: BeagleBone->CPLD->DS8641->QBUS->DS8641->74LVC245 level converter->CPLDs->BeagleBone
So far everything is OK. The QBone hardware seems stable ... QProbe needs refinement.
Too bad my Chinese 3D printer died ... ordered an original Prusa MK3S, which will arrive not before end of september :-/
So enough time to dive into software ... next thing is to emulate a 4MB memory card which also supports the DATBI and DATBO block mode.
kind regards,
Joerg
And my lab is as messy as ever:
