Non-technical names for unhosted apps

Hi all,

There's an interesting topic on the remoteStorage forums, which I'd like
to draw some attention to:

The question is if we can find a term for unhosted apps, which better
conveys the properties and benefits of them to non-technical users. It
thought that perhaps some of you might have ideas or opinions to contribute.
