That message makes me wonder if Unhosted is planning to standardize the efforts?

That new W3C CG's seems like a nice place to start.

Hi!

I'm Scott Wilson, and I'm mainly here in an independent capacity as a
committer on some related Apache projects (Wookie, Rave) but also to
see if there is anything I can do for some projects I work on with
other companies. I work partly as a developer, partly as a researcher,
and partly as a standards wonk.

My interest is converged web applications for mobile, laptops,
tablets, TV, and other kinds of devices (e.g. interactive
whiteboards). I'm also interested in open app stores - so things like
syndicating widgets - and bridging any gaps between W3C specs and
stuff developed in OpenSocial and Mozilla. (I'd like to take a "white
label app store server framework" proposal to Apache at some point.)

I can contribute with coding in Java, JavaScript, Node.js etc,
implementing stuff in Apache projects, spec writing, documentation,
and getting the word out to other communities.
