Hi,

Last time they upgraded their remoteStorage service went down for a
week. Now they're doing stuff again, down for 5 days and they have no
idea of when they can fix it...

Anyone from Owncube on the list that can tell me what is going on, please?

Cheers
Daniel

i did some debugging with them on wednesday. basically they're running
ownCloud on nginx and update frequently, and they have their main page
added to it instead of the ownCloud index page, so it's a bit of a
custom setup that sometimes breaks (especially with special things
like webfinger which needs a public /.well-known/ dir in the domain
root).

right now their host-meta file seems correct, but
http://owncube.com/public.php?service=webfinger\&q=acct:mic...@owncube.com
returns an empty 302.

It's likely that this is a problem with running ownCloud on nginx.
ownCloud only introduced regression testing recently, and afaik there
is no test yet for webfinger, let alone for webfinger on nginx. So
part of that is my fault i guess and not OwnCube's fault.

i'll see if i can do something to get thing back on the rails.

thx for bringing this up!

Ciao,
Michiel

They seem to use a fixed redirect of all http:// to https://owncube.com/.

this works for me:
https://owncube.com/public.php?service=webfinger\&q=acct:mic...@owncube.com

Should be: rewrite ^/(.*)$/ https://owncube.com/$1
