The B-Movie Festival Oct 26th-28th - Schedule Announced

Good news - we've added a second location to B-Fest for the first time since 2002! The five Best Documentary nominees will show at The Redhouse on Sat Oct 27th in addition to our three day event at the Palace Theatre. 12 Features, 20 Shorts, 5 Documentaries, and much more!
Besides opening the festival with "Clay", we'll also be showing Ryan Dacko's documentary "Plan 9 from Syracuse". If you don't remember, Ryan is the filmmaker who ran from Syracuse to Hollywood in hopes of getting a movie development deal. He received a lot of local coverage support throughout the run last year, and now you can see the whole trip, the ups and downs, the good and bad, for the first time at the Palace on Saturday night Oct 26th.
On Saturday, around 9:30pm during the Redhouse's Halloween Ball, there be a silent showing of the excellent, locally produced horror film "Mr Halloween". It'll play in the background during the party for some fun, gruesome visuals. We had hoped to show this movie on the big screen at BFest as well, but just ran out of slots - but watch for a possible screening of it at other BFest events this year. We're also working on a small screening area in the Palace lobby during BFest, and we may be able to show it there along with other features and shorts.
Another addition to the fest is the premiere CNY screening of "Rounding Home". "Rounding Home" was shot here in CNY last year under the title "Northern Lights" and features dozens, if not hundreds, of Syracuse area actors, crew and extras. "Rounding Home" will show on Sunday night.
We'll be repeating the 2006 Best B-Movie winner "Big Fish in Middlesex" on Sunday. Also on Sunday, right after the 5pm awards ceremony, we'll repeat the 2007 Best B-Movie Feature and Short. We end the fest on an appropriate "horror" note with two chilling shorts and, at 11pm, the comedy/scarefest "Lights, Camera, Dead".
