Thanks to Leonardo Software House and their exceptional rendition of the aircraft, we were able to develop a soundpack that will let you enjoy the Maddog X to the fullest.
The plan from the start was to provide the unparalleled sound quality. Beside the authenticity of cockpit ambiance, we were really focused on acoustics and sound layering.
During the development we used special audio mixing techniques, so we can be sure that most of the sounds will be clear in all phases of flight.
Also, we received an extensive feedback from real MD-80 airline pilots and mechanics regarding important sound details.
All sounds are recorded in the real MD-82 cockpit, carefully processed and extensively tested to provide the highest possible sound quality, realism, authenticity and immersion.
This product will be regularly updated in the future if necessary.
This is even better than the Aerobask Robin DR401 and I really, really like that one! Better than most of my payware. The attention to detail is beyond belief. The different panels for different languages, the overhead adjustable instrument flood light, the sounds, the realistic pilot in his leather flight jacket is so amazing, and a very well done and complete manual. The choice of "old school" radio navigation" or GPS is such a great idea. Then there is the unique paper pad for doing the setup, that really adds to the immersion and the ease of setup. I also liked the panel lighting that fades from green glow to red when you adjust the lights for night. Thank you very, very much. You made this old man's day for sure.
This is a really great aircraft, very well done! Flight characteristics are brilliant, I think the cockpit textures look great as does the exterior. FMOD sounds provide good immersion. Great aircraft, exceeds the quality of some of the payware options available for similar types, the Yak-18T by this author is another incredible piece of work.
The only minor trouble I had was that it seems like that the audio panel can not be interacted with? I tried listening to ATIS on a VOR, but can not click on the NAV1 NAV2 buttons (or any other button for that matter). Other than that everything seems to work perfectly. Can not stress enough how good the model, texturing, sounds, etc. are.
