Licence Number Matlab Mobile

Each new person who creates a user account on the MathWorks website with an email address in the university domain has access to the individual license Matlab + Simulink + toolboxes. It may happen that existing MathWorks toolbox users (with an email address in the university domain) do not have this license connected. Then the license can be connected in two ways:
1. The user can add this licence to their account by themselves using the Activation Key number. This number can be made public because during the process of adding the license the email address is verified (whether it is in the domain of the university).
2. Administrator adds a 'manual' licence user in the administration panel:
a. after logging in to the administration panel and indicating the selected licence, the administrator can, in the "Manage Users" tab, connect the user and grant him/her appropriate rights. IMPORTANT: the user must have an email address in the university domain
All these products use a separate licence and can be installed on separate servers. The number of servers is unlimited. The licence number should be provided by the administrator, who must activate the server, then add users as end users so they can download and install the software. Each network licence server can be managed by a different local administrator (e.g. local departmental laboratory licence server).
The College site licence permits academic staff and students to use the latest edition of DataDesk software on any network in College. Staff may also use it on their mobile devices for teaching or research.
An example job submission script (matlabjob.sh) is provided below. It requests 48 processors, 190GB of memory, 400GB of local disk space for 2 hours in the normal queue. Within the job it passes the number of CPUs as the number of matlabWorkers and the PBS_JOBFS folder as the output directory outputDir, both of which are variables used in the matlab script mfile.m.
Note that the submission script uses the PBS directive`-l software`, to ask the job scheduler for the reservation of matlab token seats from license matlab_ where the placeholder needs to be replaced by your own institution, see details in the section License requirements below. To change the number of processors, memory, or jobfs required, and/or project folders to mount, simply modify the appropriate PBS resource requests at the top of this file.
Since Matlab is automatically multithreaded and, by default, it generates as many matlabWorkers as it is allowed to, it is always safe to explicitly set the maximum number of computational threads to one by adding the following line
To get access to your own institution provided Matlab licence, join the corresponding software group in the table below on my.nci.org.au first. Once your group membership request is approved, the corresponding licence module becomes visible to use. Run `module avail matlab` to see the license modulefile name. Jobs need to load the license module together with the application module to run Matlab.
During the 1990s, significant advances in technology took automatic number-plate recognition (ANPR) systems from limited expensive, hard to set up, fixed based applications to simple "point and shoot" mobile ones. This was made possible by the creation of software that ran on cheaper PC based, non-specialist hardware that also no longer needed to be given the pre-defined angles, direction, size and speed in which the plates would be passing the camera's field of view. Further scaled-down components at lower price points led to a record number of deployments by law enforcement agencies globally. Smaller cameras with the ability to read license plates at higher speeds, along with smaller, more durable processors that fit in the trunks of police vehicles, allowed law enforcement officers to patrol daily with the benefit of license plate reading in real time, when they can interdict immediately.
