Change in demonstration sites for GEF PIF on BD Values

Dear Nancy and Neneng,

 

Based on this afternoon's discussion, we have limited the previous 5 demonstration areas to 3 as these are more doable. Our previous 5 demonstration sites had a total of 39 LGUs! We think we cannot deliver given the 3-year time frame and resources. Hence, our new sites  (all KBAs and/or PAs) are:

 

1) Bataan-Subic in lieu of Candaba

2) Central Panay Mountain in lieu of Olango

3) Mt. Apo (instead of Malindang) 

The other areas we dropped are Coron ElNido-Taytay and Batanes PLS

 

I hope these sites are okay and will not, at this stage,  require approval from PAWB. We can always do a final review and  selection during the full project preparation phase

fyi, with this change in sites, we cannot use ecofish for co-financing anymore.
