2.4.0 Release

Hi, undertow-core "2.4.0.Final" was released on 6th May 2026.  However, there is no corresponding GitHub release. Is there any discrepancy here?

Good catch, but no discrepancy here! Undertow 2.4.0.Final is indeed our latest official release.

We've had a slight delay in syncing the GitHub release page because we've been tackling some urgent regressions, handling maintenance handovers, and—excitingly—updating the Undertow website codebase so we can start posting announcements again.

I am currently catching up on generating the release notes. I expect to have the GitHub release page updated shortly, and we will follow that up with a fresh post on our newly updated website by tomorrow.

A note to users that might want to check in the latest release before the official announcement: Undertow Websockets and Servlets has been extracted to their own project, undertow-ee. Use 1.0.0.Final for Jakarta EE10 compatibility or 2.0.0.Final for Jakarta EE11 compatibility. Both versions can be used with Undertow 2.4.0.Final.

I realized while testing that Undertow 2.4.0 requires Java 17 due to Jakarta Servlet 6.1. However, it hasn't been highlighted in the release notes. Shouldn't it be highlighted?
