Greetings from Williamsburg!
Exciting news: my book, Under the Boards: The Cultural Revolution in
Basketball, has been printed ahead of schedule and is now available for
purchase and shipping from University of Nebraska Press, amazon.com, and
barnesandnoble.com. To order from any of these three venues, please visit
undertheboards.com and click on “Buy Book” where you’ll find all ordering
links/options. (Amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com still show a May
release date but just ignore that as the systems have yet to be updated.)
The book will soon be available in bookstores and your requesting the book
expedites its appearance in bookstores. If you wish to buy the book the
old-fashioned way, you can ask any store to order it for you. If you
choose to do so, please encourage the store to order additional copies
(let ‘em know they’ve got a hit coming!). In fact, it would be very
helpful if, when you’re out and about in your everyday life, you
encouraged your local bookstores to stock the book.
Two other notes:
1—Come celebrate! There are two book events in May—the NYC release party
in Brooklyn on Thurs., May 10 and the Chicago book discussion and signing
at In These Times on Thurs., May 17. Be sure to bring your books--I’ll be
honored to sign them. Books will also be available for sale at the
events. Please see event details below and online at
